Michelle McTimoney

Maritimer in the Mountains

Physician Coach

Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician

Michelle embodies the convergence of medical expertise, a lifelong love of sport, and a dedication to personal development in pursuit of excellence. With a direct, yet compassionate approach and a commitment to well-being, her journey reflects a deep-seated desire to empower others to thrive.

In her role as a Pediatric Emergency Physician, Michelle was active in resident and fellow education at the bedside, in the classroom and behind the scenes as a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada Fellowship Committee and Exam Committee for Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Her commitment to professional development and improving the quality of patient care laid the foundation for her development and delivery of programming in simulation, bedside ultrasound, and procedural sedation.  Michelle’s involvement in patient care and medical education led her to international classrooms at Pediatric Emergency Medicine training sites in Tanzania and Laos, and to China on a mission with Operation Smile.

Michelle’s fellowship in Pediatric Sport Medicine at Harvard University has allowed her to be called “Doc” by amazing athletes of all levels: from the backyard cartwheeling kid to university athletes, dancers of the Boston Ballet, Canada’s World Cup skiers, and athletes at multi-sport events, including Canada Games and the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

Michelle’s life is filled with cultivating relationships with her amazing friends, mostly through spirited dinner conversation and sport pursuits.  Her most treasured athletic accomplishments are qualifying for and running the Boston Marathon, skiing well enough to conquer “what was I thinking?”  terrain on cat ski trips, keeping up with the ‘real cyclists’ on their recovery days and intentionally getting both wheels off the ground on her mountain bike.  She’s still figuring out how to land a bar chord on the guitar.

Michelle is fueled by a love for relationships cultivated personally and in medicine, a commitment to learning and personal development, and a strong desire to help others achieve their goals.  Becoming an leadership coach is a natural synthesis of Michelle’s personal and professional journeys and she would love to collaborate with you in an innovative and impactful way, supporting you on your path to success.
